Ever since the outbreak of Covid-19, the whole world has been thrown into a state of helplessness. No one has been able to come up with the right answers. We just sit and watch and pray nothing bad happens. But the death toll has been on the rise every passing day.
One of the recent victims of this deadly virus is former Real Madrid president Lorenzo Sanz died on Saturday March 21, 2020 after being hospitalized.
Sanz, 76, was president at the Bernabeu from 1995-2000, a period in which Real Madrid won the UEFA Champions League twice.
Sanz signed some of Real Madrid's greatest ever players. The likes of Roberto Carlos, Clarence Seedorf and Davor Suker during his time in charge of the 33-time Spanish champions.
He lost the 2000 presidential election to Florentino Perez, which sparked Real's big-spending 'Galatico' era.
Sanz's son Fernando, played for Real Madrid from 1996-1999 before spending the final seven years of his career at Malaga.
