Palm Oil Tanker Falls At Ijebu Ode Residents Rush To Scoop Its Content

A tanker suspected loading fuel before reaidents realized it was Palm Oil (Red Oil) fell opposite of Nipco Filling Station, Ijebu Ode, via Ejirin Road, in Ogun State early hours of yesterday, spilt it content on the highway where residents trooped out to the scene according to report.

According to eye witness on Facebook said: there was a long queue of men and women coming with Buckets, Kegs, and sorts of fetching Palm Oil from the fallen Palm Oil tanker.

A tanker fell and spilled Palm Oil. To the residents, it looked like gift from heaven. However, the Palm Oil Bonaza can lead many of these people to face justice if police eventually intervene.

We could recalled that Fuel tanker accidents are frequent in Nigeria, an oil-producing nation, where crude supplies are often transported by road. Nigeria is a major oil exporter, but millions of its citizens live in poverty.
