Breaking News: Nigeria Professional Football League Player Shot

Abia Warriors and Cameroonian player goalkeeper , Charles Tambe early this morning was shot by hoodlums in Ibadan and has been rushed to University College Hospital for medical attention. The goalkeeper who have played for Sunshine Stars, FC Ifeanyi Ubah, Sharks FC and other teams was attacked by hoodlums.

Abia Warriors Sporting Director, Patrick Ngwaogwu, confirmed the incident and said that the club in on top of the situation, he said " Abia Warriors goalkeeper Charles Tambe was shot by hoodlums in Ibadan this morning, he has been rushed to UCH for medical attention, the club is on top of the situation.”

Football activities are on break across the nation as directed by the Nigeria Football Federation and LMC, Abia Warriors and other clubs in the Nigeria Professional Football league are on break pending the end of COVID-19 pandemic. Many ugly incident has befallen Nigeria players this year, these includes; the death of Remo star player Kazeem Tiamiyu, Nassarawa United player Chime Martins that died on field of play, Ifeanyi George of Rangers that died with his friend on their way to Lagos. Dayo Ojo of Enyimba that was kidnapped was the last incident before this one.
