The Federal Government through the office of Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning has publicly asked Elon Musk for help to combat the raging coronavirus even after receiving billions from different Nigerians.
On March 31st, the renowned billionaire and owner of Tesla, Elon Musk announced he will be sharing ventilators to different countries around the world.
He didn't mention the countries he has in mind and the yardstick that qualifies a country to receive the gift.
At exactly 11:25 pm yesterday, the official and verified handle of the Ministry of Finance, Budget, and National Planning went to the Twitter thread and begged Elon Musk to send Nigeria 100-150 ventilators to combat the coronavirus.
This is coming after several Nigerians donated billions of Naira to the government to combat the virus.
A lot of Nigerians have reacted, calling it a shame for the Federal Government to beg one man for help even with all the resources Nigerians have.
An FDA-approved ventilator costs about $30,000, which is about 10.8million Naira. It's just about the cost of each of the new cars Members of the National Assembly allocated for themselves earlier this new.
What do you think? Is it right for the FG to beg Elon Musk or not?
