Nigeria midfielder Ogenyi Onazi was happy to be back from injury after he backed his first assist of the season after a long term injury.
The former Lazio man was in action for Turkish club Denizlispor against Genclerbirligi in the Turkish league where he grabbed his first assist of the season , the Nigeria Midfielder said he was so happy to be back playing after doctors told him to stay off football due to the injury.
Onazi said he appreciated all the efforts made by his agent ,wife and teammates that encouraged him to train harder and believe he could make a comeback to the field of play ,he also stated that he would be willing to give it all to comeback to his full fitness and would want to make it back into the National team after being snubbed after last out in the African Nations cup in Egypt.
The 28 years old who joined Denizlispor from Tranzonspor has seen injury worries ruin his season in Lazio and Tranzonspor has also had his say on the Coronavirus issue , the player said he also backed his former colleague John Mikel Obi on asking the Turkish football federation to suspend or cancel the league campaign to prevent players being in Contract with the virus,the issue also saw the former Nigeria Captain terminate is contract with Tranzonspor because of the safety of he and his family.
Meanwhile the decision on if the current league campaigns will continue or cancelled is still yet to be made and according to reports clubs are ready to play remainder of the season behind closed doors if agreed.
