A 55 year old doctor, Pius Azuka has been arrested by the Abia State Police Command for leaving behind an handkerchief inside the stomach of his patient who he had just performed cesarean section on.

The patient, after three days of the cesarean section operation noticed a sharp pain in her stomach whenever she eats or drinks water which made her go for another scan and it was discovered she had a cloth material inside her stomach.

She immediately reported the case to the Operatives of the Abia State Police Command.

The doctor however confessed to have forgotten the said handkerchief in her stomach after they had the successful cesarean section operation.

The CSP in charge of the case, CSP Peter Osakwe says the suspect will be charged to court as investigations are concluded
