Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi has revealed that one of the attendees who attended the recently held Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards AMVCA 2020 has tested positive for coronavirus.

The 7th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards which held at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on Saturday night (Mar. 14).

Taking to Twitter this afternoon., Prof Akin revealed the news and warned that all other attendees who attended the event should self isolate themselves as they could have been exposed to the patient.

He wrote: '#COVID19 Lagos Alert

! I hereby notify you that all participants at the African Magic viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) held on14th March at @EkoHotels

may have come in contact with one of the confirmed cases in Lagos and are most likely to have been exposed to #COVID19 Infection.

Attendees at the said event are therefo advised to:

observe strict self- isolation.
