Nigerian singer and member of defunct music group P Square, Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy has shared his thoughts on African artiste signing to international record labels.
Rudeboy disclosed that most African artistes who sign to record labels internationally later regrets because they did not have an idea what they were getting themselves into.
According to the ‘Audio Money’ hitmaker, people should not count it all joy when an African act signs a management and recording deal with top American and European labels, because they usually come with a lot of “had I know"
In the exact words of the singer, he said ” until you get into there, you will not understand what it is all about. You will discover you are better off being the way you were(before being signed into one)”.
When she was asked to touch on Tiwa Savage’s record deal with International company, Universal Music Group, Rudeboy replied saying ‘Don’t worry she will understand better later”.
